Attorney Michael Moreira
“Michael was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida international University (FIU) where he studied political science and international relations. At FIU, Michael made the Dean’s list for his academic achievements and graduated Cum Laude. While attaining his Bachelor’s degree, he interned with the Southern District of Florida Federal Public Defender’s Office in Miami under the supervision of some of the best criminal defense attorneys in Florida. After graduating from FIU, he attended Nova Southeaster University’s Shepard Broad College of Law once again making it to the Dean’s list for his academic achievements. In law school, Michael was a member of the Association of Business Law Students and learned valuable litigation skills while participating in National Institute of Trial Advocacy events.
After graduating law school with his Juris Doctor degree, he obtained a position as a law clerk for a personal injury firm prior to taking the Florida Bar exam. Upon admission to the Florida Bar, he was offered an associate position assisting the firm’s managing attorney who became his mentor. During this time, he gained first-hand knowledge of pre-litigation and litigation tactics.
After some unexpected life changes, Michael was forced to leave his practice in Fort Lauderdale and relocate back to his hometown, Miami. Michael then joined a prestigious corporate defense firm gaining valuable experience of how litigation works from the “other side.” Specifically, Michael practiced in varied areas of corporate defense representing Florida businesses in civil lawsuits.
Following his experience in the field of corporate defense, Michael ultimately made the decision to follow his passion to help individuals who needed legal assistance in civil matters. Michael is now back with his original practice and currently works in the fields of personal injury, property damage and storm loss, medical malpractice, products liability, breach of contract, and more. “
